The White Swan, in the attractive coastal market town of Berwick-upon-Tweed is a very cosy, friendly and welcoming guest house, with lots of local charm and atmosphere. Join the happy band of guests at any time of the year and you will be delighted by the conviviality of your hosts. Cyclists are also welcome!
All five rooms have TV's and DVD players, and are spacious and well appointed. They each have their own charm and a complimentary selection of hot beverages, plus most of them also have their own en-suite facilities. The owners of The White Swan can also provide excellent evening meals for guests, by arrangement.
Situated within a short stroll of Berwick railway station, The White Swan bed and breakfast is easy to get to, and is well located in this picturesque market town so that guests can enjoy the magnificent Elizabethan battlements, and stunning views of castles and coast.
There is a thriving community here, with cafes and restaurants galore, plus pots of exciting activities for all the family.
Take a boat to the Farne Islands to see the wildlife, take a stroll along the golden sandy beaches, or explore the many majestic castles dotted along this world heritage site coastline.
Visit the holy island of Lindisfarne across its tidal causeway, and see the birthplace of Christianity in England, the castle with its stunning Edwin Lutyens interior, and Gertrude Jekyll walled garden.
For the more adventurous there is golf, cycling, walking, diving, sailing, trout and salmon fishing, sea angling, climbing, swimming, tennis, clay pigeon shooting and quad biking.
Guests with bicycles can leave them safely locked up at The White Swan, and pets are welcomed by prior agreement. We are happy to take contractors. This is a warm and welcoming family orientated guest house in a charming Borders town, ideal for fun filled holidays and long weekends.
