Nestled in the divinely beautiful North Northumberland countryside, yet just a stones throw from the World Heritage coastline, the hedonistic Ford Woodhouse Farm Cottage self-catering accommodation has been newly renovated and lovingly created on this delightful working farm. As the perfect antidote to today's modern life, the cottage and its surrounding location is dreamily tranquil and restful. But if you need distractions, there's always plenty to do: Take the tidal causeway to the Holy island of Lindisfarne; venture into the Elizabethan walled town of Berwick-upon-Tweed; or search the bright lights of Newcastle or Edinburgh for entertainment.
The cottage has a stunning elevated panoramic position, overlooking the wild beauty of the Cheviot Hills. It more than comfortably accommodates seven guests in three bedrooms: One double, one double plus a single bed, and one twin bedroom. All bed linen, and blankets are included, naturally. The bathroom is clean, fresh, and modern, and includes fluffy towels. The newly decorated kitchen has everything you require to make a simple snack, as easily as a three-course dinner, and includes an electric cooker, a microwave, washer and a very handy drier. The benefit of being on a working farm is the wonderful supply of fresh free-range eggs for breakfast of course!
The sitting room is perfect to relax in with an open fire, comfy sofas, a TV with Freeview, and a video player plus a selection of videos: Coal and logs are supplied, so you can toast your toes and reminisce over the days events in the evening, or plan new adventures for the next.
The cottage is very easy to get to from either Newcastle or Edinburgh, which both have international airports, and are just fifty miles away. Located close by the adorable villages of Ford and Milfield, a short stroll from Ford Moss Nature Reserve, and three miles from Milfield Gliding Club, there's no need to take the car out every day, but Alnwick Castle, where the Harry Potter films were made, is a short drive away if you do.
| There's garden furniture, plenty of parking right outside the cottage for guest's cars, and even secure bike storage, plus pets are welcome by prior agreement.
